What ages do you teach?

We offer classes for students aged 3 years to adult. Previous dance training is not required and our classes accommodate students from beginner through pre-professional levels.

What type of classes do you offer?

We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics, African, Jazz and Acting.

Do you offer free trial classes?

We don't offer free trial classes, but we do offer a 14 day, prorated money back guarantee if for any reason you or your student isn't satisfied with our services.

What style dance should my young child participate in?

To begin a proper dance foundation, Flair Studio recommends our Ballet & Tap combination class for ages 3 to 5 years old.

May I go into class with my child?

You may go into class with your child for their first class only. It's important that the student and teacher establish their own relationship without the parent or guardian present.

Do you offer performance opportunities?

Yes, we offer one dance recital in June and two informal showcases throughout the year in December and August. Our advanced students are given pefromance opportunities in the DMV area throughout the year.

What are the fees for classes?

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, you may email the studio at We can also be reached via text or phone call at 410-744-3901. Private lessons range from $65 to $150 per hour.

Do I have to take Ballet?

Ballet is the basis on which all dance styles build. When taken in conjunction with other forms of dance, ballet helps the student accomplish dance goals quicker because it improves flexibility, strenghth and posture. Ballet training is necessary to successfully accomplish more advanced level movement techniques including multiple turn and jump sequences.

What if my child is not interested in Ballet?

Dance skills such as Hip-Hop, Tap, Modern, African, and Acrobatics can still be learned with no ballet training. As a child progresses in dance they could find additional value in experimenting with ballet class. Students are welcome to add a ballet class to their schedule at any time.

Should my student take multiple classes a week?

Students aged 3 to 5 should not feel a need to take multiple classes per week. After the age of 7 and depending on their dedication for the art form and their reason for taking class, a student may decide to enroll in more classes. Dance is like any sport or art form; the more you train the better and faster you achieve. Students of all ages reap great rewards if only taking 1 class per week.
